izzue summer collection event

Thanks for my friend Aris invite me for izzue fashion show every year, but I am sooo into my new job and didn't alert to bring digital camera!!! SO I just took few pics by my low resolution stupid mobile...hope you can stick to my words below...
In this narrow restaurant located on IFC, artists and fashion icons are just next to you everywhere and 'touchable', if you really want to.
After 2 rounds of free flowing wine and canapes, music with strong base started. All models groomed in decadent Edward scissor hands-like and marched by, the show can be divided into 3 sections:
1. Desert war- Soldiers,Taliban, wrapedaround from head to toe, military green, sand colours
2. Punk- Black & midnight blue, studs, mask, leather
3. Gothic - Black & white, bandage strap-like leather accessories(very Ann.D), lace, stripes
As a Hong Kong local brand, they're doing quite well and I can pick a lot of items from their collection. I do really think working for retail/ branding is absolutely to focus much much more on mix & match, styling, marketing(money!!).......nothing to do with me at this moment but most importantly to catch up with most up-to-date trend.

雖然我成日著黑衫,但其實熟悉本人的朋友都知我其實最好花和色. 由於可見將來還未知幾時有期到大不列顛, 近期Liberty跟幾個不同交叉單位的合作, 實在引起我極大的注意. 嗱,真係衣食住行範範開齊實行做到梗有一樣啱你心水咁話.
Well...yes, I must admit that I love this kind of event, with no doubt I love M.A.C cosmetic products and I also love Liberty very much because of their classic, chic and joyful flower power! So this event was impossible to miss out and I had a very good time that night....at the same time I spent quite a lot!

Accessories' billboard









I screencapped all these from On Pedder bi-annual catalog (I hope so, because it was only one issue at 2009) - Pedderzine. Being one of Hong Kong's luxury & designer labels' accessories outlet (Belongs to Lane Crawford & Joyce's family), to show off it's forward-looking, powerful and stylish status within the market with this 'magazine'.


It draws my attention every season, no matter what they will carry for sell, their garphic image, printing materials (I love the smell of ink & paper!!!) and.....it's totally free to get from their boutique! The rectangular, giant, bold and contrast coloured heading boxes easily descripted the most trendy accessories style with no doubt and obviously aggressive expression!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JOYCE spring/summer 2010 3D trend book






FEW nite ago i received this booklet from JOYCE Boutique. When I flipped it firstly I find that it's obiviously is a catalog with pages of traditonal layout, big catwalk pics and essential indication with brands they are going to carry in SS10, but then arrrr....a pair of 3D opticals tagged to the inside cover. It seems to every field 3D already became a very powerful media to excit audiences more even for fashion now, just like Burberry Prorsum AW10 live show!
Alright, go back to this brochure please. The most exciting pages are McQueen & Dries Van Noten, I guess the more pattern oriented, the easier one to stand out visually under red & green paper glasses.
Besides all the names of listed fashion designer, I also found De Cotiis. Frankly I have no idea who's that and arouse my curious to find it out.


Vincenzo De Cotiis, an Italian cross-disciplinary designer/artist involves furniture, interior in architectual way now transfer his haute couture sense gained from other field to fashion. JOYCE brochure does not mention whether the collection they will carry is the brand named "Haute" from De Cotiis or not, but pointed out 'Transformation, re-interpretation, reassembled from identifiable vintage' is the spirit of the collection which will sell in JOYCE boutique. Anyway I found some photos on net from blog of TESSABIT, I guess it's a high-end select shop similar to 10 Corso Como, with mixture of fashion & fruniture design labels. Again from all photos of either JOYCE & TESSABIT, pieces of De Cotiis is very artisiti, raw decorated and reminds me of Reem Alasadi. I will have a look in JOYCE tomorrow although I definitely cannot afford all these.
